Our Philosophy

Our Daycare Ministry exists to serve families by providing affordable, high-quality, Christian childcare to families from all socio-economic backgrounds. Our heart is not to simply operate a business, but to offer a meaningful service that helps children grow into confident, caring, and faith-filled young men and women.

We strive to care for children the way Jesus did. As Scripture says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). Guided by this truth, we seek to create an environment where every child feels loved, valued, and encouraged.

We are a Christian daycare that welcomes families of all beliefs and backgrounds. While respecting each family’s faith journey, we joyfully share God’s love with our students through prayer, worship songs, Bible stories, and daily interactions. Our goal is not indoctrination, but introduction—introducing children to the good news of Jesus’ love in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

Our staff and student body are beautifully diverse. We believe this reflects what heaven will look like, and we love that our children learn and grow alongside classmates from many cultures and backgrounds.

Leadership & Staff

Our Daycare is led by Director Latishia Patterson, who has a degree and extensive training in early childhood development and has faithfully served as our director for over 10 years.

She is supported by a dedicated team of caregivers who hold certifications and specialized training, with several staff members also holding degrees in early childhood education. Every staff member is committed to providing excellent care in a Christ-centered environment.

In addition, our Children’s Pastor, Michelle Carden, serves as the Spiritual Director of our Daycare and leads weekly chapel services for our students.

We are experienced in working with families who receive assistance through the Virginia Department of Education and are comfortable helping families navigate this process.

Since our founding in 1993, our daycare has remained rooted in ministry and community service. We strive to care for families beyond childcare by offering additional support through our church’s food pantry, community events, back-to-school programs with school supplies and free haircuts, and many other outreach efforts.
